Company ProfileVALLOUREC & MANNESMANN TUBES is a world leader in the production of seamless hot rolled steel tubes for all applications. The company's eight European tube mills (4 in France and 4 in Germany) and production sites in Brazil and the USA use state-of-the-art production processes, and their combined capacity of up to 3 million tonnes covers the world's largest range of dimensions for seamless steel tubes. The company was founded in October 1997 as a joint venture between the French Vallourec Group (55% of shares) and the German Mannesmannroehren-Werke (45% of shares) joining together all their production units and marketing interests for seamless hot rolled tubes and threaded oilfield tubulars (OCTG). In May 2000, the company took over the Brazilian company Mannesmann S.A. in Belo Horizonte, which has been renamed V & M do BRASIL S.A. In July 2002, V & M TUBES took over the tubular division of North Star Steel and renamed it to V & M STAR. The company has production sites in Youngstown (Ohio) and a OCTG shop in Houston (Texas).
